Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County running as a Candidate for Commissioner to represent the First Commissioner District. During my tenure as a teacher and elementary school principal, I gained leadership experiences, developed management skills and expanded my knowledge about our community. I have the time to thoughtfully evaluate issues and tax policies that impact the balanced growth and development of our county.

We have great expectations for the future of St. Mary’s County. We are a growing county with infrastructure needs. I will be committed to help guide a “continuum of affordable basic services” for youth to seniors which include lifelong learning opportunities, safety and security, healthcare and crisis options, affordable housing, recreation and the arts.

Workforce and job development with wages that respect our citizens are critical to our economic stability. Hardworking families should not have to live on the brink of poverty.

St. Mary’s County is on the forefront of new ideas and technologies. We need homegrown jobs to supply Patuxent River NAS with employment needs. We must be a county that embraces change while preserving our environment, great rural character, history and the traditions of farmers and watermen.

Our future will depend on the decisions we make today. I will work very hard for the people. I respectfully ask for your vote and support.
